MY ESSENTIAL TOOLS OF THE TRADE...
THE CEREMONY PACKAGE
So this package is the only package that includes video camera coverage. The photography portion to this package is exactly like the eloping package, except that it includes one-camera video coverage.
The shot I shoot for the one-camera video coverage is pictured above. It's a very simple shot, the camera points directly at the minister, and you and your fiancé's side profiles are shot. I do shoot some other shots to go along with camera shot. A few scenery shots, a handful of setup shots (walking on the beach, holding hands, etc..etc..) I even include the signing or the marriage license and some words to your family who couldn't make it.
Also included in the ceremony package are wireless microphones. What you are basically paying for when you get the ceremony package is technically the rental cost of my video equipment. See, with one camera coverage, there really isn't much labor to do. I just set it up on a tripod and hit record. If you do have your own camera, you can just bring your own camera, borrow my tripod, and then book the eloping package. The results would look somewhat the same given the high-quality of consumer cameras these days.
Lastly, there is a video upgrade to this package, I like to call it the VIDEO EDIT UPGRADE. It upgrades the package to 3 camera coverage, editing, and also includes a 15 picture mini-slideshow in the beginning the video (growing up pictures), and a mini-slideshow at the end of the video (professional pictures). An example of this complete video can be found at http://www.dreamweddingshawaii.com/video.htm This upgrade is $350.00 dollars, and to me is worth every little cent!!!
So the big question is, “Why should I get video coverage?” Well to begin, there are some things that photos can't reproduce such as the feelings and reactions of you and your fiancé in real time. The nervousness, the sweaty palms, the anticipation, the stuttering of the vows, these are just a few of the things that a photo will have a hard time capturing. To me, if you are having a reception, it's basically a necessity to have video coverage. Also, if your parents or close relatives can't make it, I'd seriously consider it.
