Going forward, 2022 is filled with different types of challenges.  I’m not really fearing COVID at all.  To be quite honest, I’m afraid of inflation.  Everything is getting really expensive.  Not only is the cost of living going up in Hawaii, but the cost of doing business is skyrocketing faster than I ever saw it happen.   And what’s worse?  It seems as though this administration doesn’t want to fix it.  It doesn’t matter how much you made this year, because the dollar lost its buying power.

A STUPID HAWAII WEDDING PLANNER DOES STUPID THINGS…

Let’s get serious for a second here.   There’s one type of wedding planner that you should never book for your Oahu Wedding, and that’s the planner or coordinator that’s logistically stupid.  I’m being serious.   While I have some major problems with corruption in the wedding industry, I can say with the utmost confidence that these greedy planners are, for the most part, NOT logistically stupid.   With a corrupted planner, you may pay way more than you have to, pay for things that should be free, but at the end of the day, you’ll be satisfied with the quality.  And your wedding day will be planned with at least a pinch of logistical coherence.

But god forbid you hire out a logistically stupid planner.

So what is a logistically stupid wedding planner?  You’ll have to listen to my podcast to find out!

Long story short.  I ran into one last week, and almost got involved with the wedding.  Thank god I didn’t.  It’s going to turn out horrible.

WE’RE BACK BABY! 

…well almost back…

So, instead of tapping out an article, I decided to just post my most recent podcast about all things Hawaii Weddings, which also pretty much sums up exactly my thoughts on COVID/WEDDINGS.

It’s all good news!  It’s still a bit challenging, but nothing you should lose hair about.  Covid is going to become a bad joke – soon!

I personally expect things to go back to normal in Hawaii sooner than later, like the rest of the nation.

LOCATION IS EVERYTHING, ISN’T IT?

If you don’t have a great location, you can’t have a great wedding in Hawaii.   I still can’t believe that some couples cross the ocean, to get married on a small strip of sand, by a sidewalk, behind a condo – that’s Waialae Beach Park, somewhere you should avoid at all cost.  In this podcast, I chat about all wedding locations, how I pick them, why wind matters, and my opinion on private estates, hotels, beaches, and the permit law.

ME AT WORK
