Sir Mix-a-lot would be sad<\/p><\/div>\n

I don\u2019t watch the VMA\u2019s.\u00a0 I used to, when MTV actually played music videos.\u00a0 But now that I\u2019m older, I just don\u2019t. \u00a0I really don\u2019t remember the last award show I sat down and watched with any enthusiasm. So when I heard of this Miley Cyrus performance, I had to actually \u201cyoutube\u201d the darn thing to see what the commotion was all about.<\/p>\n

My reaction?<\/p>\n

Firstly, I think her butt looked kinda strange.\u00a0 Was that latex underwear too tight?\u00a0 Her hairstyle looks as though it\u2019s something I could accomplish with toothpaste.\u00a0 Yeah, it was over sexualized, but\u00a0 the choreography, music, and dancing, was even worse.\u00a0 It\u2019s not uncommon for performers to over-sexualize their performances.\u00a0 Michael Jackson grabbed his crotch 20 plus times in one song, Prince bared his buttocks once, Madonna did too many things to list; but the difference between what they did and what Jar Jar binks did was night and day.\u00a0 Previous Performing Perverts or PPP actually involved good dancing and art direction.\u00a0\u00a0 Miley Cyrus threw all her years of accumulated dance lessons out the window\u2026 PPP should be outraged; Mickey as well.<\/p>\n

The true tragedy though, is America. \u00a0So Hanna Montana has grown up to resemble a chipmunk gone slutty. \u00a0She is the tweet of the nation.<\/p>\n

For true controversy, the ones that count, most American’s don’t care. \u00a0 From the cover up to blame the US Embassy Al Qaeda attack on a youtube video director, the targeting of conservative groups by the IRS, \u00a0to the unconstitutional government spying on US citizens; the majority of Americans don’t want to hear about it. \u00a0Lets alone, tweet about it.<\/p>\n

Let it be noted, on this day in history, Miley’s circus antics made headlines over the news that our President was two days from ordering the United States to enter a war with Syria.<\/p>\n
