common questions I get asked on a daily basis is, \u201cHow can I save money on my dream wedding?\u201d\u00a0 If you\u2019re looking for an answer worth a pot of gold, you\u2019re not going to find one.\u00a0 I stole the gold!\u00a0 If you\u2019re looking for three simple steps to saving money on your wedding, here you go.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Step #1: Be flexible with your wedding and you\u2019ll save.<\/h3>\n<p>I like football, so I\u2019ll use a very easy football analogy.\u00a0 A real authentic leather NFL football will cost roughly around $100 USD.\u00a0 If you were to ask me, \u201cHow could I save money on buying an authentic NFL football?\u201d I would answer, \u201cThe only way to save money on buying an authentic football is to not buy an authentic football.\u201d\u00a0 Be flexible and buy a very good cheap replica that looks the same, photographs the same, even throws the same, but isn\u2019t the same.<\/p>\n<p>Saving money on your dream wedding is about being flexible where you feel comfortable.\u00a0 Here are a few examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Silk flower bouquets are cheaper than real flowers, and photograph the same.<\/li>\n<li>Beach wedding ceremonies, for the most part, have no location charge associated with them. \u00a0While estate weddings, church weddings, have a location fee that can be very steep.<\/li>\n<li>For your cake, fewer flavors or certain flavors may be cheaper.\u00a0 Real flowers cost less than sugar flowers.<\/li>\n<li>Film photography is more expensive than digital photography.<\/li>\n<li>Weekend weddings are more expensive than weekday weddings (for other vendors not me)<\/li>\n<li>Smaller receptions are cheaper than larger ones. \u00a0If you&#8217;re flexible on this, you&#8217;ll save really big.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Challenge your flexibility.\u00a0 The more flexible you are, the more you\u2019ll save.<\/p>\n<h3>Step#2: \u00a0Pay for value.<\/h3>\n<p>Cutting cost is not everything.\u00a0 \u00a0Many times, quality comes with a cost, and finding that guaranteed value is worth every penny.\u00a0 For example, a wedding company that slowly responds to inquiries or regular emails, and drives you nuts, is not worth any dollar you give them.\u00a0 Even if they charged a measly ten dollars for their service, they would be ripping you off.<\/p>\n<p>When you find value, pay for it.\u00a0 And in the long run, you\u2019ll save.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s rather easy to spot value in a wedding vendor. \u00a0If they respond quickly and intelligently to your questions, have great internet reviews, and you feel as though you can work with them, they\u2019re a keeper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a life<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Step#3:\u00a0 Be a healthy skeptic.<\/h3>\n<p>As a first-time bride, you are an emotional first-time buyer.\u00a0 That\u2019s about the worse type of buyer you could ever be.\u00a0 You\u2019re like a kid at a candy store, except your parents aren\u2019t there, and you have a high-limit credit card.\u00a0 Before you commit to any vendor, even me, ask a lot of questions, and don\u2019t be shy about it.\u00a0 Use a truckload of common sense to figure out if a vendor is telling the truth. \u00a0Make sure that bullshit detector is working and on max. \u00a0There are liars out there and con-artists so watch out.<\/p>\n<p>Watch out especially for the POST-WEDDING-SELL.\u00a0 Photographers and hotels are habitually guilty of this practice.<\/p>\n<p>Many times a photographer would offer you an inexpensive photography package that would consist of a small amount of photos.\u00a0 He would then take more photos and then offer to sell you the extra photos, your memories, for an obscene amount of money.<\/p>\n<p>A hotel will sometimes offer you a free hotel room, or a free upgrade to your banquet room, if you just agree to have an open bar at your wedding.\u00a0\u00a0 After your reception, when you find out how much that open bar tab has accumulated to, you\u2019ll have to get a second mortgage on your house.<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it, my easy three-step-program to saving money on your wedding.\u00a0 Or, you could skip all steps and just book with me.\u00a0 I\u2019m just saying\u2026I\u2019m that
