GROOVY GUY GIFTS: ALTERED CARBON PERSONALIZED KNIFE!
About a year ago I reviewed a personalized knife from Groovy Guys and raved about it. And this time around, I’ll be raving, once again, about their Altered Carbon model. So here’s what I love about it:
- IT’S SHARP AND CAN BE SHARPENED – I love sharp knives, who doesn’t right? Ironically, a sharp knife, is a safe knife. The less force you have to use, the less likely the knife is to get away from you. Like my last knife, this blade arrived sharp enough to cut a steak effortlessly. But it’s me, so I had to break out my sharpener to see what type of edge I could give it. Every knife sharpens differently depending on the alloy, and this knife sharpened beautifully. And after I gave it a new edge, I could slice through my steak like butter. I haven’t sharpened it again, so it’s been able to hold its edge.
- IT’S LIGHT – This is a great knife to put in your pocket that won’t pull down your shorts. Some of my other knives are a bit too heavy. So, this is a great tool you can carry when you’re barbecuing.
- PRACTICAL FEATURES – There is a seatbelt or rope cutter here, and a hard edge to break glass. These are great practical tools to have near if you ever got into an accident. Seatbelts to jam, unfortunately, and belt cutters come in handy. Car windows can jam during accidents and they need to be destroyed, as they are sometimes the only way out. This is a knife you can have on you, in case of emergencies.
- IT’S PERSONALIZED – There’s nothing like having your name on your knife. I dunno what it is, but it’s pretty darn cool.
I give this 5 out of 5 stars. I seriously do. It’s that great.
